"TWINZIES in Stock-Town"
Q Dear Yessi,
Hi-I would appreciate some advice about one of my co-workers. I was recently hired and do not know my co-worker very well. I started to notice that every time I wear a certain outfit (like a black dress) or a certain color of lipstick (like fire engine red), or wear my hair curly instead of straight...this co-worker of mine will copy me (the best she can) the very next day. It's beyond annoying. At first I thought it was just a coincidence, but then our other co-worker who works in the same department made a comment about my "new twin." What should I do? I don't want her to continue to copy everything I wear or try and steal my style. I feel like she is trying hard to be my clone. I want to say something, but don't want to get in trouble and don't want her to cry. HELP!

A Now, that’s annoying as hell girl, who does she think she is? Oh that’s right, I forgot she thinks she’s you (lol). Here are a few ways to handle the situation:
1. Tell the heifa, I mean copycat, to get her own style and remember DO NOT to wear hoop earrings during this “friendly conversation” (if you chose this option just think of the consequences).
2. If her copycat ways really get under your skin but you don’t want to cause a scene, take her out to lunch and nonchalantly bring up the observations you made.
3. Completely ignore her behavior and don’t associate with her. Remember “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery” and life is too short to worry about who is trying to be like you. Obviously, your fabulous or else she wouldn’t be copying you.
Choose wisely *wink, wink*

"C.V. Hot & Heavy Boardroom Fantasy"
Q Hi Yessi,
Every time I step into a board meeting, all I can think about is sex. It doesn't matter who is speaking. Often time the CEO will be talking and as he looks at me while he is going on and on I appear to be paying attention to what he is saying. I'll even look him directly in the eye, but my mind is on other things. It only happens when I sit down at the table in the board meetings. I'm otherwise very productive at my own work. Also in other positions I have held at different companies, this has never happened to me (where I can't seem to shut off the sex stuff in my mind). The fantasies I have, have nothing to do with anyone that is in the room or even at my workplace. Any advice for me?
Signed,
Probably fantasizing in a board meeting right now as you read this

A Dear Horny Employee at Board Meetings,
I know board meetings can be really b-o-r-i-n-g but you seemed to have fix that problem, making them way more entertaining… So, what’s the problem? (Just Kidding.) Seriously, it’s natural to have sexual thoughts, it means you’re a human being. However, it seems in your case, these thoughts have prevented you from staying focused. This can be a problem, especially if you get asked for feedback during the meeting. The deer-in-headlights look on your face is not the kind of look you want to present to your boss and fellow employees.
My suggestion to you is to stay away from “E,” lol. Aside from staying away from “E,” try taking notes during the meeting. This will force your mind to focus, you can’t have two thoughts at the same time. Not only will this lessen these distracting thoughts, you will look smarter, be more engaged, and your boss will love it. #Winning

Yessi (that’s “yes” in both English and Spanish) is a blog writer and part creator of SugarLime&Chile, along with her two sisters. At very young age, she was fascinated with talk shows like Oprah, Ricki Lake, Sally, Montel Williams, and Dr. Phil. Especially, when there was a bit of drama and the guest therapist would intervene and offer guidance and insight. Personal growth is a core value of hers, resulting in: reading, taking many classes and workshops that offered healing and personal development. This enabled her to serve as a table leader for a group of women who yearned for connection, personal and spiritual growth. She loves deep conversations regarding emotional health, boundaries, relationships, and spirituality. As much as she can be serious, she also enjoys seeing the humor in things. She acted like a bill collector once, and called her dad to threaten him with jail time. He had to pullover because he was freaking out a bit. He has then forgiven her after she coached through the steps of forgiveness and taking him out to eat. Her love for adventure, compelled her to take on challenges. She did stand-up comedy for a short period of time. Lastly, she finds it funny having to write in the 3rd person.
